IAS officer arrested

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
NEW DELHI, April 12: A 45-year-old IAS officer from the Maharashtra cadre was arrested last Friday in connection with a four-year-old case of molestation. The man Vijay Kumar, has since been released on bail.

The police say a case of molestation and wrongful confinement had been registered against Vijay Kumar at the Trilokpuri police station in 1995. But the police were unable to find corroborative evidence for a long time. And the officer couldn't be located anywhere. On Friday, the police came to know that Kumar was living in Pandav Nagar in east Delhi. He was arrested in the evening.
