TFA taste blood in opener

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
HALDIA, APRIL 12: A youthful Tata Football Academy (TFA) kept their reputation intact blanking Bloodmouth, Tripura, 3-0 in a preliminary round Group C match of the Second Division National Football League here.

While Amandeep Singh netted in the first half, Ragui Singh and Naresh Man found the target in the second session.

Playing a cohesive game, the Jamshedpur outfit dominated the exchanges coasting to an easy win in the slow and colourless encounter. The Bloodmouth players simply failed to get their act together and never really posed any danger to their fancied opponents.

Launching into the attack from the outset, the winners shot into the lead in the 37th minute as Amandeep Singh slotted home following a Trijit Das set piece.

Das, who had a good day, also set up the second goal, when his measured minus was volleyed in by Ragui Singh in the 55th minute.

Keeping up the pressure, TFA again struck in the 77th minute through Naresh Man who scored following a goalmouth melee. The Bloodmouth custodianSomnath Das, who had come out to charge, stood helpless as the ball entered the net.
