Following President K R Narayanan's directions, the Vajpayee Government, minus the AIADMK, will move a vote of confidence at 11 am tomorrow when the Lok Sabha resumes its Budget session.

`Internal' tribunal for disgruntled defence personnel mooted
Disgruntled Army, Navy and Air Force personnel may no longer have to go to a court of law in search of justice. The Govt is working on a draft to institute an ``internal'' tribunal which will function as the last point of call for any soldier with a promotion.

India not competing with Pak -- Army chief
It is unfortunate that Pakistan's missiles are India centric because our testing is not specific to any particular country, chief of army staff General Ved Prakash Malik said. Speaking to officers at Headquarters, Northern Command, Malik said that India was not in competition with Pakistan.

Pak launches retaliatory Ghauri II
Pakistan test-fired a new ballistic missile, Ghauri II, today that is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and hitting targets deep inside India. With a range of 2,000 km, Ghauri II is Pakistan's longest-range missile and can carry a payload of 1,000 kg of either conventional or nuclear explosives.
