Vadtal trust axes senior officials
The Vadtal Swaminarayan Temple Trust decided to remove Chief Executive Kothari Bhaktikishoredasji along with the four other godmen named by the CBI in the kidnap and murder case that has rocked this headquarters town of the Swaminarayan sect.

Gujarat Govt launches green plan
The Gujarat Government launched a World Bank-aided Rs 5.08 crore State Environmental Action Programme (SEAP) to assess pollution and other related problems. The focus of the programme will be on environment protection and ecological management.
