Strike by AIR, DD staff continues

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, April 16: The members of the Chandigarh chapter of the Akashvani and Doordarshan Administrative Staff Association continued with their indefinite strike today.

The employees are agitating at the call given by the United Forum and are protesting the alleged discriminatory behaviour of the U.T. government and Prasar Bharati board towards their demands. The main demand of the employees include pay parity with the programme and engineering cadres of the AIR and Doordarshan and implementation of earlier accepted demands.
