Gandhinagar, April 18: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) would file a fresh FIR in the sensational kidnapping of three-and-half-year-old Ruchi Chavda.One of the eight inspectors of the CBI's special crime branch of Mumbai is expected to begin the probe in the case and file a fresh FIR soon, official sources said.
Ruchi's alleged kidnapper Nilesh Jadeja was arrested from a guest house in Rajkot on Saturday morning by the Gujarat police.
Ruchi was kidnapped on April 6 from her school in Gandhinagar. The girl was found abandoned in a Gandhinagar-bound state road transport bus in Ahmedabad on April 16.
CBI inspector R K Kanhere is likely to be delegated with the additional charge of the Ruchi Chavda case as the SCB here was short-staffed, sources added.
