Selvarajan victorious

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
Chennai, April 18: T R Radha Selvarajan and Parthiva Sureshwaren showed the stuff they were made of in winning their respective races in the Group `N' (stock) Esteem and Formula India Single Seater Maruti Engine (FISSME) categories, respectively, in the first round of the JK Tyre National Racing championship, here on Sunday.

Selvarajan, driving a better-prepared car, had just enough more power to nose ahead of a persevering Harish Samtani in both the races (five and 10 laps), as did teenager Parthiva who with his superior braking technique came through a convincing winner after fighting off a great challenge from another youngster, JD Madan.

The JK series of five rounds could not have asked for a more thrilling and absorbing start as both Esteem and FISSME races dished out riveting fare. Selvarajan came up with truly magnificent performance and defended his racing line in champion style.
