Parshuramians gained the initial advantage facing a team short of two players. Barely had the game kicked off that they drew first blood. Defender Sameet Shetty attempted a long range aerial kick from near the half-line which foxed the Kirkeeans keeper George Jackson, and partly aided by the cross wind.

The leaders ruled on, restricting most of the play in the rival half. They did miss out on quite a few good chances. Their forwards Rohit Ghadge, Ritesh Mehta and Rahul Ghadge muddled up scoring opportunities. Kirkeeans found a handful of chances come their way but were found wanting at the finish.

Closer to the end of the first session, Ritesh Mehta slammed home from close range going into lemon time with a two goal lead.

The post-breather session belonged entirely to the match leaders. Parshuramians literally toyed with a demoralised side. Hardly had the session begun and Rohit Ghadge receiving a forward pass from his brother Rahul and sneaking past the off side trap within the goal box tapped home with ease.

Three minutes later Rohit completed his brace, in near similar style but the cross pass coming from Jashan Joshi in the left flank. The accuracy of the pass was dead on and Rohit had nothing but to tap in from the same spot.Not very far off came the last goal for Parshuramians. Abhijeet Borate fed a fine pass to Ritesh Mehta positioned on the left who the tapped in a strong left footer.

The second fixture featured seasoned campaigners, Thundercatz`A' against a fairly young and short on experience Warriors side. Though the difference was clearly evident, the Warriors lads put on a commendable performance saving themselves a loss by an embarrassing margin.

On the other hand Thundercatz were scoffed by spectators for missing out on umpteen sitters.

To begin with, in the first-half, they could manage to clinch just a two goal lead. Nilesh Chavan, their able forward line player, netted both, his goals coming in the 16th and 29th minute. He later went on to complete his hat-trick scoring a 45th minute second-half goal.

This first division team made at least 15 visits to the rival goalmouth. But none went pass the Warriors keeper Carlton D'Souza who did well to keep out most of them. The Thundercatz forwards sprayed wide often that too from within a 15 yard range.

In the 47th minute, Thundercatz scored the fourth and the team's final goal coming off the boots of Nataraj Madurai.

Warriors pulled one back in the 35th minute off a free kick within the 18 yard box. Ansel D'Souza, receiving a cross pass, slammed home for the consolation goal.
