Warne, M Waugh restrict Windies

AGENCIES
BRIDGETOWN, APRIL 24: West Indies wicket-keeper Ridley Jacobs scored a belligerent 68 and Shivnaraine Chendarpaul (44) and captain Jimmy Adams (46) played the supporting role as the home side set Australia a target of 250 in the sixth match of the One-Day series.

Jacobs and opening partner Sherwin Campbell added 81 for the first wicket in nearly 11 overs as West Indies were given a flying start. But with the introduction of leg-spinner Shane Warne into the attack, the West Indies' run flow was checked. In fact, Warne along with off-spinner Mark Waugh were instrumental in reigning in the Windies.

Warne finished with three wickets for 28 runs from his ten overs while Waugh gave away only 35 runs and had the prize wicket of Chanderpaul.

Meanwhile, security was tightened at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown for the last two One-Day games to prevent a repeat of the pitch invasion which marred Wednesday's match in Guyana.

Steve Camacho, West Indies Cricket Board's chief executive officer, sent a letter ofapology to the Australian players and team management and pledged that adequate safety measures would be in place. ``The Barbados Cricket Association has given the assurance that security will be improved upon for the sixth and seventh ODIs this weekend,'' he said.
