Faculty General Secretary Anil Pruthi claimed in a statement that students of tabla (third year), too, had extended support to the agitating students by deciding to boycott examinations.

The agitating students have been demanding that Professor Parul Shah not be made one of the examiners in the forthcoming dance examinations. The students also represented the matter to Faculty Dean Dwarkanath Bhonsle, syndicate member Nilesh Shukla and senate member Harish Vyas.

Meanwhile, two students, including one girl, have decided to join the fast- unto-death from Wednesday. Students Union General Secretary Prakash Verma is also supporting the agitation.
