Marcos victims get $ 150 million

A US federal district judge here approved a 150 million dollar settlement in favor of human rights victims against the estate of the late Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos. The ruling represents the first successful class-action suit against a former dictator that will result in cash payments for its victims.The approval on Thursday clears the way for distributing the settlement to the more than 9,000 rights victims who participated in the class action lawsuit.
