Six year old falls from second floor of school

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NOIDA, April 30: A six-year-old boy fell down from the second floor of his school building while trying to retrieve his sharpener that had fallen on the window sill, and received severe head injuries yesterday. The child, Uday Chauhan, was rushed to the Kailash hospital where he was operated for the skull fracture, and is stated to be out of danger.

According to the boy's father, Vinay Chauhan, Uday is a student of class two (section-F) of the Amity International School. He said that the incident took place during the afternoon break, when Uday was trying to retrieve the sharpener which had fallen on the window sill. He lost his balance and fell on the glass skylight on the first floor and from there right in the middle of the ground floor corridor. Uday, reportedly, fell on his head and fractured his skull. ``The only saving grace was that he was rushed to the hospital''.
