Thirty two top teams for DDCA super league

NEW DELHI, May 4: The DDCA Super League, involving 32 teams consisting of the top teams from the various divisions, will begin here from tomorrow at various venues.

On Wednesday, Lion kanishkha will take on Chandni Chowk at Kotla 1; Ashoka play Three Star at Kotla 2; K N Colts take on Rajnigandha at Palam 1; and IAF play Delhi Administration at Palam 2. Only those players who are registered with the respective clubs will be eligible to play in the Super League, according to DDCA sports secretary Sunil Dev.

Groupings: Pool A-1: Winsom, R R Gymkhana, Pusa Youngsters, Delhi Audit, J N Golden, Sonnet, Dena Bank, South Delhi, Rajnigandha, Madras Club, Goswami Ganesh Dutt, K N Colts.

Pool A-2: Rani Bagh, IAF, United, Century, Little Master, Rajinder Nagar Colts, Golden hawks, Darling, S B Youth, Inborn Cricketers, Delhi Administration, Young Association.

Pool B: Ashirwad, Delhi Colts, Chand Khanna, L B Shastri Club.

Pool C: Lion kanishkha, Ashoka, Three Stars, Chandni Chowk Gymkhana.

DSA league
As many as 24 teams will be seen in action in the Delhi Soccer Association football league championship for the Oriental Bank Trophy beginning at the Ambedkar Stadium on May 12.

A league sub-committee has been constituted to conduct the championship with Syed Shaheen as chairman and Hem Chand as convenor, association joint secretary N.K.Bhatia said here. Teams should send their entry fee of Rs 1000 to Syed Shaheen by May 8.

The members of the sub-committee are: Abdul Aziz, Jagdish Malhotra, Nagender Singh and M.S.Patwal, besides N K Bhatia.
