P. Kamraj, general secretary of the CMCRW Union and the general secretary of the UT Road Workers Union, said the Adviser assured them of positive action.

Dharna staged
A dharna by the members of the Sewerage Employees Union was staged today in front of the office of the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation. The members condemned the alleged anti-employee policies of the Government of India, the Chandigarh administration as well as the Municipal Corporation.

The demands of the employees include the release of arrears of daily wage workers and absorbing them on regular rolls, confirmation of regular staff, treatment of the transferred employees of the UT administration to the MC as on deputation.
