Suicide victim's body found

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, May 7: A 30-year-old woman, who had allegedly set herself afire yesterday morning, disappeared from her Nangloi house in the West district. However, her body was found a few hours later on the roadside at Paki Nahar Ranhola in the same area. Reportedly, the police had received a call at 8 a.m. saying that a woman by the name of Savita had set herself afire at her Rishal Garden house in Nangloi. But when the police reached the house, they were informed that the woman had been taken to the hospital. However, the police was unable to trace her at different hospitals.

Later around 4 p.m., the police received another call informing them of a burnt body of a woman in Paki Nahar Ranhola, some distance away from Rishal Garden. The woman had 70 per cent burns.

Reportedly, the police connected the two incidents and the body was later identified by the woman's neighbours. On searching the house, the police found a suicide note addressed to Rakesh.

According to the police, the woman was living with Rakesh, a conductor in a private bus for the past 15 days. She had reportedly left her husband and three children some five months back. The police is on a look-out for Rakesh.
