Local enquiries had revealed that Mamta, Anand's wife was having an illicit relationship with her next-door neighbour Mahesh. The two became prime suspects after they went missing. Mamta was a domestic servant in Maharani Bagh and Mahesh used to work as a sweeper in Kuwait Airways.
