PANAJI, MAY 10: Not a single nomination paper was received for the June 4 elections to the 40-member Goa Legislative Assembly on the opening day of filing of nominations today.
Reports received from returning officers of all the eight centres spread across north and south Goa stated that the first day of the process drew blank. The last date for filing of the papers is May 17 and scrutiny of the documents would take place the following day.
The last day for withdrawal of nomination is May 20 and counting of votes would take place on June 6.
