Indians lose

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA  
JAKARTA, MAY 10: Indian boys lost to the Chinese Taipei, 1-2, while the Indian girls suffered a 0-3 defeat at the hands of the Chinese Taipei in the quarter-finals of the World Junior Tennis Championships, an AITA release said here today.

The boys were placed sixth in the competition after they lost 1-2 to Hong Kong in the play-off for the fifth and the sixth position. Earlier, in the play-off for the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth positions, the boy's team beat Thailand 3-0

The Indian girls were also positioned sixth in the competition after they lost to Japan 1-2 in the play-off for the fifth and the sixth positions. Earlier, the girl's team beat Uzbekistam, 2-1, in the play-off for the fifth, sixth, seventh and the eighth positions.
