The judge turned down the arguments of the prosecution for a death penalty. The judge, however, passed directions against the Investigating Officer of the case. He pulled him up for not holding proper investigations. He also told Jerry, one of the two acqutted accused persons, to demand compensation from the IO, for being falsely charged.

Jerry who was actually responsible for destroying the evidence (201) was arrested for murder (302). Therefore, Jerry was illegally confined to judicial custody, the judge held.
