Electing to bat first, Deccan Gymkhana put up 176 on the board, with the loss of seven runs. Unable to match the target by an almost century margin, MGSA were all out for just 80 runs.

In another match of the day, for the Mahajan Trophy, Saras XI lost to Stadium Cricket Club by a margin of five wickets at the Anglo Urdu school ground. After Saras XI had put up a target of 135, for the loss of five wickets, in the stipulated 25 overs, Stadium Cricket Club achieved ot with almost four overs to spare.

In the under-14 category, playing for the Mathurawala Trophy, PCB lost to Agashe Academy by six wickets at the PYC ground, while New English School defeated Stadium XI by an identical margin.
