Citizens asked to check pin codes

VADODARA, May 18: The Vadodara Postal Department has urged citizens to ascertain pin-codes of their respective areas before dispatching mails.

In a statement here on Tuesday, an official spokesman said it had come to the notice of the department that several mails did not reach their proper destinations because of wrong pin-codes.

He said the public should ascertain the area code from the local postman or post office.

According to him, areas south of VIP Road consisting Ambalal Park, Muktanand, Jyoti Park, Budhadev Colony, I D Hospital, vernacular dailies Sandesh and Gujarat Samachar, Aryakanya Vidyalaya, K G Children Hospital, Sayaji Garden and other areas fall in Karelibaug (390 018).

In Fatehpura (390 006), Warasia, Fatepura main road up to Mandvi, Nava Bazaar, behind Jubilee garden up to Kumbharwada, Yakutpura, Ajabdi Mills, Mehta Pole, Chhipwad, Bhadra Kacheri up to Gaurav Society, Hathikhana, Harni Ring Road, Paras Society and Samarth Society are covered.

In Harni Colony (390 022), Anandnagar, Amitnagar, Amitnagar Circle, Aerodrome, Mayo Hospital, Sangam up to Water Tank, Charbhuja Complex, VIP Road, Gandhi Park and areas north of Warasia-Harni ring road are included. In Race Course (390 007), the area from Race Course Post Office to Genda Circle, GERI Circle to Natubhai Centre up to Harinagar, area in the western side of Railway Line, Alkapuri, Rajlaxmi Society, Haribhakti Colony up to Harinagar Matri Mandir Society are covered.

In Akota (390 020), areas from Akota Post Office to Urmi Society, area behind Dinesh Mill, Akota village, Ashoka Apartment, Police line to Atladara crossing, Tandalja Poultry Farm and surrounding area are covered. The V N Colony (390 015) includes areas from V N Colony to Bhaili Road and societies inside, from Vrundavan township to the area behind Vasna village, Vaccine Institute to Maheshwari Society and all societies up to the Post Office behind Akota Stadium.
