SAS NAGAR, May 19: Punjab School Education Board has adopted a "no work no pay" policy after three of its employees were suspended for their alleged role in creating indiscipline, rowdism and use of unparliamentary language against the board authorities.Jarnail Singh Brar and Kiran Bala are senior assistants in the Examination branch, and Maghar Singh a senior assistant in Accounts branch were allegedly involved in inciting the workers to stop the ongoing work of compiling the result of Class X and XII exams.
Meanwhile, the suspended employees have been asked to report to the district book depots at Pathankot, Abohar and Ferozpur respectively.
Gurudev Singh Sidhu, vice-chairman, PSEB, said the `No work no pay policy' would disturb the routine work of the state education board.
Teachers' union demands aid n PROF S.S. Hundal, president, Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers Union (PCCTU) , and Prof Shinder Pal Singh, secretary of the union, have demanded in a joint press statement issued today that the Punjab government should release Rs 24 crore immediately.
