Police find body
The Ichhapore police recovered the body of an unidentified person, aged between 20 and 25 years, from the Tapi river on Wednesday morning. The body was recovered from the outskirts of Ichhapore village and the police feel that the person might have either drowned or committed suicide elsewhere. The body has been sent for a post mortem, while a case under CrPC 174 is registered, the police added.

Accidents
Two persons, a manual labourer and an motorcyclist were killed and six others were injured in separate road accidents registered in police stations of the district in the past 24 hours. Dhiru Jeevan Rathod, a manual labourer died on the spot and six others sustained minor injuries when the truck in which they were travelling on Surat-Dhulia Road overturned because of reckless driving by the driver, Ramesh Simliya. A case has been registered against him in the Vyara police station. In another case registered at the same police station, an unidentified motorcyclist was killed on the spot when he was hit by a truck on the road opposite Janak hospital in Vyara town. The police have registered cases under the IPC and MVA.

Wall collapse
One Mangi Budhia Gamit (40), a resident of Navi Vasahat on the outskirts of Vyara died after a wall of her house collapsed on Tuesday night. M R Chaudhary, medical officer of the Vyara Referral hospital declared the woman dead on admission in the hospital. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered at the police station.

Vehicle stolen
One Mora Nanu Gohil, a resident of Satyanarayan Society, Kapodara complained to police on Wednesday afternoon that his red Maruti van (GJ 7 A 2561) was stolen from the parking of his house. The Kapodara police have registered a case under IPC 380 and are investigating further.
