Missing kid was murdered

SURAT, May 19: The Sachin police on Wednesday, updated a non-cognisable case of a missing three-year-old boy to murder, after the victim's uncle named an acquaintance as accused in his complaint. The victim, Siddharth Laxmanulla Nayak alias Taklu Sanatan, was reported missing since April 13 evening, after which a complaint was lodged in the police station. The body of the boy was recovered a couple of days later from a creek near Udhna.

Meanwhile, in a startling relevation, Laxmanulla Nayak, a resident of Adarshnagar Society in GHB Sachin, on Wednesday told the police that the boy was allegedly kidnapped from Anandmangal Society in the same area by one Bhagwan Murli by offering sweets, taken to a creek beside Patelnagar in Udhna and drowned forcibly. Murli is absconding since.
