MUMBAI, MAY 21: A stylish half-century by opener Adityaraj Amin and fine left-arm spin bowling by Devendra Mansoor helped Kapil Dev XI beat Sandeep Patil XI by 104 runs in the tie for the third and fourth positions in the Elf-Vengsarkar Academy under-14 cricket at the Oval today.Amin's knock of 54 was studded with five fours off 88 balls. He was well supported by Amit Narvekar (43, 35b, 4x5) and Karan Joshi (30) to post 219 in 42.2 overs. Leg-spinner Kinjal Patel and left-arm spinner Sujay Mehta captured two wickets each.
Sandeep Patil XI, who were 70 for one at one stage, succumbed to left-arm duo of Devendra Mansoor and Amay Waigankar to be all out for 115 in 34 overs. Sagar Pawar was the top-scorer with 38. Mansoor took three for 28 while Waigankar finished with two for 21.
Sunil Gavaskar XI will meet Gundappa Vishwanath XI in the final on Saturday.
