SURAT, May 23: Speaking at a function to mark the opening of a primary health centre (PHC) on the outskirts of the city on Sunday, Union Textiles Minister and city MP Kashiram Rana said all villages would be provided with basic amenities. The centre at Mor village in Olpad taluka of the district has been built on a land donated by the Navjivan Trust.It was built within two months by a city builder at the cost of Rs 19 lakhs. He said the State government had accorded top priority to the gokul gram yojna and the mega project would be completed within the scheduled time. The minister also inaugurated a panchayat building, according to a release issued here.
Also speaking on the occasion, district panchayat president Harshad Chaudhary said 99 PHCs had been sanctioned for the district this year, of which 31 had already been constructed.
