Man cheated of Rs 5 lakh by confidence trickster

BANGALORE, May 23: A person posing as an employee of the CET cell cheated a Kolar-based man of Rs 5 lakh assuring a medical seat for his son during the last two years. In a complaint to the Upparpet police, C R Jagadish said the accused, Kumar,was introduced by one Vijayalakshmi to him in 1997 assuring that Kumar would help his son get a medical seat through the CET cell.
