Parikshit set the pool ablaze with a record double in the boys Group III category. He was a cut above the rest while handsomely winning the 50 metres freestyle (0:27.55) and the gruelling 200 metres individual medley (2:27.19).

Six meet records were established on the opening day. Avinash Kripalani (Khar Gym) led from the start to erase Vishal Kapoor's nine-year-old record in the Group II 400m freestyle. Avinash swam splendidly to stop the clock at 4:36.53.

Delna Bhumgara (YMCA) obliterated a 16-year-old record in the girls Group I 100m backstroke. Delna's time of 1:15.55 was over four seconds faster than Sonal Nanavati's long standing record.

Sindoor Thakkar (Otters) and Anirudh Dutt (Khar Gym) accounted for the other two records in the 200m individual medley for girls and boys Group I, respectively.

The other notableperformers were Tejaswi Shetty (JVP), Anukul Shenoy (MSP), Nimisha Gupta (BPCL) all of whom scored splendid doubles in their respective age groups.
