Walter Pereira, a Western India Football Association (WIFA) referee, has been selected as assistant referee by FIFA for the men's Olympic football qualifying tournament (preliminary competition, Group B) to be held in South Korea from May 25-29.

The Income Tax (Mumbai) employee had also attended a course for registered referees and assistant referees organised by Asian Football Confederation in Kuala Lumpur from April 7-9 and is the only one to be selected for South Korea from this course.
