Suicide
Two incidents of suicide were reported in the city on Tuesday. In one incident, Iqbal Hussain Amanmiya Malek, committed suicide by pouring kerosene on himself. Police said Malek was suffering from TB. He was admitted to V S Hospital where he breathed his last. In another incident, Mohammed Arif Mohammed Alauddin (23), a resident of Dayabhai Kadiyani Chali, Rakhial, committed suicide by consuming insecticide. He was admitted to Shardaben Hospital where he breathed his last. Police said Mohammed wanted to marry a girl but her father had refused to consent to the marriage.

Traffic drive
The Traffic police on Tuesday registered 1,499 cases of traffic violation. These include drivers of 1,071 two-wheelers, 288 three-wheelers and 131 four-wheelers. The police also registered cases against 2,095 drivers.

19 held
City police on Tuesday arrested 19 people with 236 litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor. The city police also registered four cases and recovered Rs 1,540 from 16 people. The police have detained 20 others as a precautionary measure.
