Stir threat by PCCTU
The Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers' Union has expressed resentment over the "apathy" of the UT Administration towards teachers working in non-government aided colleges in Chandigarh. A press release issued by Dr Rabinder Nath Sharma, PCCTU state executive member, said the union would launch an agitation in case the administration does not release revised UGC scales within a few days, it was added.Grace marks sought
Students of the Department of Laws, PU, have made a representation to the University authorities that their Vth semester reappear Pleadings paper was disproportionately set and a question was out of syllabus. They have demanded adequate grace marks, a press release said.
PUTA concern
The Punjab University Teachers' Association has expressed concern over the recent developments in the Syndicate. In a press release issued here today, PUTA secretary M. Rajivlochan has stated that the association is concerned over the "present imbroglio".
