T K Govinda Rao to get title

TIRUPATI, May 28: T K Govinda Rao, senior disciple of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Musiri Subramanya Iyer will be conferred the title of Sapthagiri Sangeetha Vidwan Mani. The title will be given by the Sri Thyagaraja Festival Committee of Tirupati on the occassion of the centenary celebrations of Musiri Subramanya Iyer. The vocalist will be given the title at the sadas to be held as part of the 12-day, 57th music and dance festival to be held at the temple town from July 16.
