MALOUT (PUNJAB), MAY 31: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today charged that expelled Akali Dal leader Gurcharan Singh Tohra acted "at the behest" of Congress in forming a parallel party and bringing "bad name" to Sikhs.``Tohra and his supporters are working at the behest of the Congress and the Sikhs will never forgive such leaders,'' Badal said after laying the foundation stone of Rs 35 crore sugar mill in cooperative sector at Malout.
"Tohra is bent upon indulging in anti-Panthic activities and has connived with the Congress to bring bad name to the entire Sikh community," the Akali Dal president said.
Tohra formed a parallel Akali Dal at a convention at Alamgir village, 16 km from here and ``removed'' Badal from the presidentship of the party capping months of bitter feud between factions led by the chief minister and Tohra.
