Dockyard prevail over BPT Reynolds

MUMBAI, JUNE 1: Naval Dockyard beat BPT Reynolds Institute 6-5 via the tie-breaker in the Air India Trophy football tournament, conducted by BDFA, at the St Xavier's Ground, Parel, today.

The two were locked 1-1 at the end of the regulation time. Leon Pereira gave BPT the lead and Patrick George equalised for Dockyard. In the tie-breaker, Augustine George, Anthony George, Patrick George, Shirish Chinchghare and Ignatius Mascarenhas netted for Dockyard. Ronny Pinto, Joseph D'Costa and Amir Shaikh and Amir J Shaikh netted for BPT.

St Paul's defeated Sahar Silver Stars 4-0 in the Guru Nanak Trophy. Jackson Monteiro (2), Rudolph D'Cunha and Dolrich Alvares scored.

Salgaonkar, Oak in final

Salgaonkar CC, Thane, will meet holders DM Oak Academy, Kalyan, in the under-14 final of the fourth Sudhir Dhakras Memorial cricket tournament, organised by Sportsmen CC, Kalyan.

Salgaonkar 218-5 in 30 overs (Kiran Kangulekar 25, Shoeb Shaikh 61, Shailesh Shetty 73; Pallav Shejpal 2-26,Prakash 2-35) bt Deccan CC, Kalyan 89 all out in 18.3 overs (Pallav Shejpal 25, Sunny 26, Harshad 3-12, Robin 5-21).

Dombivli Gymkhana 75 all out in 22.3 overs (Ajinkya 31, Harish 25, Anand Nalawade 2-9, Anupam Bendre 2-16, Avinash Shanklesha 3-9) lost to DM Oak 76-6 in 20.1 overs (Siddhesh Patil 25, Deepak Abhyankar 26, Jatin Bhoyal 25, Aditya 2-5, Varun Panse 2-18).
