AMBALA, JUNE 3: Auction of booth and shop sites in the Barar anaj mandi in this district has netted Rs 1.13 crore, a record figure. The auction was conducted by Sub-Divisional Magistrate R.K. Garg yesterday.Seventeen booths were auctioned at prices varying from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.92 lakh. For sites measuring 15X37.5 feet, the reserve price was fixed at Rs 70,000. The reserve price for sites measuring 20X50 feet was Rs 1.30 lakh and Rs 2.14 lakh for sites measuring 20X85 feet. However, a total of 24 shop sites were auctioned in the first category with the minimum price of Rs 1.34 lakh and maximum of Rs 1.47 lakh. In the latter category the 30 sites that were auctioned fetched a minimum price of Rs 2.52 lakh and a maximum price of Rs 2.76 lakh.
The SDM told The India Express that the auction of sites of Saha mandi in this district, was scheduled to be held on June 11 and that it was proposed to put up over 100 sites for auction.
