AHMEDABAD, June 3: Emotional distress in everyday life, coping with adolescence, adolescent sexuality and positive mental health are some of the topics that will be covered at a two-day Community Mental Health Programme being organised at the Vasvik Auditorium on June 5 and 6.State Health Minister Ashok Bhatt will be the chief guest at the first day's session scheduled from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm. It will include a panel discussion on `Emotional Distress in Everyday Life' chaired by Dr V D Shah, retired head of the department of the Psychiatry Department at VS Hospital besides talks on `The Relevance of Mental Health Issues' by Dr Nimesh Desai, HOD, Psychiatry, Institute of Human Behaviour, New Delhi and `Causes and Cure of Common Human Happiness' by Dr Aashit Seth, psychiatrist from Bombay Hospital.
The morning session scheduled for day two between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm, will have Minister of State for Home Haren Pandya as the chief guest. The panel discussion on `Coping With Adolescence' will be chaired by Dr Madhuben J Patel from Civil Hospital and talks will be on `Communication with Adolescents'.
