BHOPAL, JUNE 3: Arjun Singh has the upper hand in the 22-member Madhya Pradesh Congress Election Committee approved by party president Sonia Gandhi and released by PCC chief Radhakishan Malviya yesterday. Malviya is the chairman of the committee which also has 13 special invitees.
Malviya ruled out possibility of an electoral alliance with the BSP, the RPI or any other party in Madhya Pradesh but added that the final decision would be taken by the central leadership. Similarly, he left it to the state election committee and the party high command to decide whether to give tickets to those who lost the last two elections.
An effort seems to have been made to give representation to different regions, with the odds favouring Arjun.
