Announcing this at a press conference here, NBA leader Medha Patkar said increasing of the dam heght from 80 metres to 88 metres might lead to submergence of 50-60 tribal villages.

Patkar said the court order was against the ruling of Narmada Water Disputes Tribunal that no submergence should take place unless those likely to be affected were rehabilitated a year in advance.
