HSC results on internet

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, will release the HSC results on two websites on the internet after 3 pm on Saturday. The addresses are: http://www.mah.nic.in/boardresult and http://www.nic.in /mahaboardresult.

Besides, Intel in association with Aptech Computer Education, will also provide free online access to the results, from 3.30 pm. Access will be available at 27 Aptech centres in the city (addresses on page 3). The website is: www.mah.nic.in /msec.

Students can access the results free courtesy Zee Education (ZED) on www.zedgateway.com after 3 pm. They are also available at any of ZED's career academies in Maharashtra. Its Mumbai office is located at the Shivam Shopping Complex, S V Road, Malad (West).

Kruti Parekh selected UNEP laureate

Kruti Parekh was today selected by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as one of its 17 environment laureate, according to an Associated Press report.

Speaking ata presentation ceremony in Tokyo, the Mumbai-based 13-year-old Parekh, like a seasoned public speaker, said the environmental task was not one person's job, it required the cooperation of the whole society or community.

Sharing the table with UN under-secretary general and UNEP executive director, Klaus Topfer, she spoke of her vermiculture project in the cityin which she uses earthworms to turn garden garbage into manure. She also uses this technique at home.
