Chandni Chowk blast probe
The investigation into yesterday's Chandni Chowk blast, which left 27 persons injured, was taken over by the Crime Branch today. All 27, including Sub-Inspector Inder Kumar Jha, have been discharged from the hospital. The Crime Branch were waiting for the report of Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) to determine the nature of the explosive.

Police chief issues security order
Police Commissioner V N Singh on Friday issued an order on the security situation in the Capital. The order prohibits all cigarette and aerated water kiosks from remaining open after 11.00 p.m. from June 8 onwards. It also states that public meetings cannot be held in certain areas from June 7, torches cannot be carried in the entire National Capital Territory from June 5 and bags cannot be taken into places of entertainment from June 6.

MBBS/BDS entrance exam results
Results of the MBBS/BDS entrance exams held on May 22 were declared on Friday. According to a press release issued by Professor B.S. Garg (OSD, examinations), the results have been displayed on the notice boards of the Examination Wing (main campus), Faculty of Medical Sciences (Patel Chest), University College of Medical Science (Shahdara); Lady Harding Medical College and Maulana Azad Medical College.

Body of 25-year-old man found
25-year-old man's body was found in Prashant Vihar on Thursday night. Two men who were reportedly staying with Mahabir apparently informed a guard that he had been shot while they were out eating dinner. The police say that by the time they reached the spot, the two men had disappeared. A case of murder has been registered and a search is on for the two. Mahabir was working in a private company.

Five-yr-old girl raped in Nangloi
A five-year-old girl was raped, allegedly by an 18-year old youth, in Nangloi on Thursday. The accused, Ashok, is a tenant in the girl's house and works as a painter. The police have arrested Ashok.
