Weekend Retreat/Akshaya Kumar

The chief of Colliers Jardine, Akshaya Kumar, finds himself touring the country over the weekend. Akshaya Kumar has work to do, and not just in Mumbai. ``When the weekend arrives, I'm working out of the city,'' he says. The point he makes is there aren't any places you can go to around Mumbai and come back peacefully. ``If you decide to hop across to Pune, there's the headache of catching a train and whatnot. By the time, you're back, you are so tired that the entire purpose of getting away for the weekend is defeated. So why bother? Give me a list of 10 places close by, where I can go and then feel like going back to any one of those places,'' he says.

With the heat, traffic and pollution in the city rising every day, there's nothing he would like more than to get away from the crush. And an extremely hectic lifestyle is sure to get that attitude into anyone. ``I'm sure anyone who leads a hectic lifestyle would practically give an arm and a leg to get away from e-mails and cellphones. Wouldn't you?'' heasks.
