SRINAGAR, JUNE 5: Bodies of three Pakistani soldiers, who were killed in an intense battle in Batalik sub-sector in Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir on June 3, would be handed over to Pakistani authorities ``at an appropriate place'', a senior Indian Army officer said here on Saturday. The trio, identified as Lance Naik Mirbaz Khan, Sepoy Sajad Khan (both of the Fourth Northern Light Infantry) and Sepoy Mehboob Ali (of Three Northern Light Infantry), were killed within about seven kilometres of the Line of Control (LoC) in Batalik sub-sector, Brigadier A K chopra of the 15th Corps told newsmen.
Besides their identity cards, two rifles and a machine gun bearing Pakistan ordnance factory markings were recovered from their possession, Chopra said.Recovery of bodies of three Pakistani Army soldiers, established beyond doubt involvement of Pakistani regulars in infiltration and intrusion into Indian territory, he said. Pakistan-backed infiltrators have so far suffered 400 casualties, most of them were deadand some of them were wounded.
