In a letter to the Sgt Sahu's father, Deora says ``this is perhaps the very least one can do for a brave family such as yours, which has lost its sole breadwinner, and as a gesture of our sharing in your loss.''

Conveying Deora's condolences, the letter says that the death of Sgt Sahu is too poignant for words. ``In laying down his life for his country at a time of national crisis, Raj Kishore has not only brought glory to the entire nation but has also helped stir patriotic fervour among all Indians. Along with your family, the whole nation mourns having lost one of its glorious sons,'' the letter says.
