EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
CHANDIGARH, JUNE 6: The result of the Class X examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education will be declared tomorrow.

Some 52,828 candidates appeared from 721 schools of the region and of these 30,032 were boys and 22,796 girls, who appeared from 67 government schools of the city and 102 Kendriya Vidyalyas, 48 Jawahar Navodya Vidyalyas and 504 independent schools of the region.

The overall pass percentage of the region is 78 per cent as against 76.87 per cent last year. The pass percentage of boys and girls is 77.7 and 78.4 per cent, respectively.

While the pass percentage of government schools in the city is 51.7 per cent, the overall pass percentage of Kendriya Vidyalyas, Jawahar Navodya Vidyalyas and independent schools of the region is 75 per cent, 80.7 per cent and 84.6 per cent, respectively.
