Punjab nurses stage dharna

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 8: Punjab Nurses Association today held a dharna at the Chandigarh Housing Board roundabout near Sector 17, to press for their demands. They assembled at the office of the Director Health, in Sector 34, from where they proceeded to CHB roundabout and tried to break through the barricades set up by the police.

The nurses, who were granted new pay scales by the government, are agitated at the deductions in the new grant.
