No entry is to be posted outside police stations, says Reddy

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
Chandigarh, June 8: Senior Superintendent of Police (City) C.S.R. Reddy has ordered that noentry will stand outside the police stations. This, according to Reddy, has been done to remove the barrier between public and police.Sentries were reportedly taking it upon themselves to decide who would or would not be allowed to enter the police station and were also reportedly make money in the process.

In a separate order, police stations have been instructed to crosscheck with the complainants whether they have been satisfied with the police's response.Earlier, former IGP Kiran Bedi had instructed the Police Control Room (PCR) to return complainants' calls and check whether calls had been responded to and complaints properly dealt with.
