Oriental insurance staff to donate salary
The employees of the Panchkula branch office of The Oriental Insurance Company Limited have decided to contribute one day's salary to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund, to boost the morale of the armed forces stationed at Kargil, Drass and other areas along the Line of Control and to express solidarity with the families of soldiers and martyrs. This was decided at the emergent meeting called by branch manager Kamal Awasthi today. The staff observed two minutes' silence and also decided to donate blood as per the requirement of the Command Hospital, Chandimandir.

Lok Shakti to hold rallies from June 11 to 14
The local unit of Lok Shakti will hold rallies from June 11 to June 14 in city's different sectors, colonies and peripheral villages as part of its public contact programme. According to a release issued here today, the programme will start everyday at 5.30 p.m. The schedule is as follows: June 11: Indira Colony; 12th: Khudda Alisher; 13th: Bapu Dham Colony and 14: Kishangarh village.

B. L. Gulati retires
Haryana's Legal Remembrancer and Secretary, Law, B. L. Gulati, today sought voluntary retirement from service. His resignation has been accepted by the Haryana government and he has since been relieved. Gulati belonged to the state's senior judicial service and has earlier also been the Registrar of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
