Tendulkar upset over logo issue

LONDON: Sachin Tendulkar has expressed deep anguish at being singled out for the oversize logo on his bat when others are flaunting the rule.On the eve of India's match against Australia, the Indian star received a warning from the International Cricket Council (ICC).

His agent Mark Mascarenhas described the ICC act as insulting and discriminatory. ``It's a disgrace the ICC discriminated against Sachin, who should have been resting rather than being bothered by such trivia.''He, asserted that ``a lot of others have far bigger logos on their bats.''

Members peeved

LONDON: With the rest of the ground virtually sold out, there were scores of empty seats in front of the famous Lord's pavilion on Wednesday because of a protest by members of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) against their own committee.

Angry at being forced to buy tickets at a club they technically own, the members made their protest by either staying away from the Australia-Zimbabwe game orwatching the game from the bars.
