RBI norms for state finances soon
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is planning to set up a committee of state finance secretaries for greater transparency and increased disclosures that can be brought about in the budgets of state governments.

Forex reserves decline by $99 mn to $33.43 bn
India's total foreign exchange reserves, which include gold and special drawing rights, fell by $ 99 million to $ 33.433 billion in the week ended June 4, the Reserve Bank of India said Saturday.

IDBI, BoB in alliance talks
The Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) plans to enter the banking sector by tying up with an existing institution, its chairman and managing director G P Gupta has said.
