DSP Merrill MF to pay 20 pc

ENS ECONOMIC BUREAU
MUMBAI, June 12: DSP Merrill Lynch Mutual Fund has declared a 20 per cent dividend for its equity fund. This translates into a payout of Rs 2 per unit. DSPML Mutual Fund is the second fund to declare a dividend in its open-end equity fund after the budget for fiscal 2000 made dividend from mutual funds tax-free in the hands of investors.

The fund has also given a dividend reinvestment option whereby investors, who do not opt for a dividend, will get incremental units added to their investments at the NAV on ex-dividend date, which has been fixed at June 21, 1999. A number of other open-end equity funds are expected to declare high dividends.
